Testimony of Josiah and Ivy Chiang
We would like to thank God for His guidance,
mercy, and protection during the pandemic period.
By God’s grace, Moses was safely delivered on 20
December 2021.
Humility, a fundamental trait in our faith, has taught
us so many lessons as written in the Bible. However,
we are oftentimes forgetful and have taken God’s
grace and mercy for granted.
We decided to name Moses (示谦) so that it serves as a reminder for us
(and him), to understand the importance of being humble in our lives.
With that, we humbly thank God for blessing us with Moses. We would
also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has prayed for and
supported us during the trying period. Though Covid restrictions had
distanced us physically, but all of you still managed to send us your
thoughts and well wishes in one way or another.
Pray that we would be a good learning example to our children and to
bring them up in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
As Moses will be baptised this Easter, please also pray that we will not
neglect the sharing of the gospel to our children, that they may come to the
saving grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Testimony of Lim Kee Yan, Nathan
I was born in a Christian family. My parents are
Christians, so I had been attending Church and
Sunday school since young. However, I did not really
understand what is the meaning of being a Christian.
I thought I just needed to follow my parents to church
every Sunday to be a Christian. Since young, I like
the Sunday school lessons and the singing of
children’s Christian songs. I learnt many Bible stories
in these lessons.
I recalled in one of the children’s camps, I learnt that I had to fully trust in
God and His salvation to truly become a Christian, then I can go to heaven
to meet God. I prayed the sinner’s prayer with a Sunday school teacher in
that camp. From then, whenever I have troubles or worries, I know I can
always pray to God, and He will help me in His ways.
I am thankful to God for helping me through my primary school years.
Now that I am in secondary school, I thank God for leading me to this
school. I made many new friends and believed this is the school that God
wants me to be in. I pray that I will continue to trust in God and be a good
testimony for Him.
As I learnt more about how good God is, and how He saved sinners like
me, I am thankful to God for saving me and helping me learn and
understand His Word. I would like to thank the many Sunday School
teachers who had taught me and helped me in my spiritual walk with God.
I hope that I can continue to learn more of God’s Word and to apply them
in my daily life. To prepare for this reaffirmation of faith, Pastor Clement
had weekly Bible lessons with me. He taught me many things, in
particular that God is a Spirit, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable, in His
being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth.
Now that I started to attend the weekly Ebenezer meetings and
discipleship classes, I can learn more about God and His Word. From the
sharing from fellow brethren, I can see how God has blessed and helped
them in their daily life and this has encouraged me greatly.
I pray that I will always abide in our infinite, eternal and unchangeable
God and to strive to live for Him.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
Psalm 27:1
